LEVEL 1 – BASICS OF RESEARCH AND USE OF SPSS

Course Outcomes:

1. Participants will be able to frame the statement of the problem.

2. Participants will be able to review the literature by themselves.

3. Participants will be able to write hypotheses in the correct manner.

4. Participants will be able to carry out correlational study independently using SPSS.

5. Participants will be able to carry out comparative study independently using SPSS.

Theory:-  In order to have a strong hold on research it is necessary that sound theoretical knowledge about research concepts is mandatory. Accordingly, the participants will be getting the guidance in-

 

  • How to frame the Research question.

  • How to state the research problem.

  • How to write the research objectives.\

  • How to frame the hypotheses for correlation and comparative study.

 

Practical-: Every participant will have hands-on experience in the data handling in SPSS. They will be getting hands on in-

 

  • How to code the data in SPSS.

  • How to upload the data in SPSS.

  • How to calculate Mean, standard deviation, and standard error using SPSS.

  • How to find Normal distribution of the data using SPSS.

  • How to do correlation and simple regression analysis using SPSS.

  • How to do paired sample t-test, independent sample t-test when the data is normally distributed using SPSS.\

  • How to perform non-parametric tests when the data is not normally distributed using SPSS.
